"It has given D. the confidence to take his Eleven Plus. Over the weeks we have seen him blossom and gain confidence to a stage where very little fazes him."
Hooton Tutors are proud to have an excellent success rate for tutoring for the 11 Plus exam.
Several of our children have gained 100% on their 11 Plus papers as a result of their studies with us.
Many of our successful Eleven Plus candidates approached us originally for support with dyslexia and other learning difficulties. We were able to instil confidence in them and helped them to achieve learning excellence.
"Our daughter was predicted a 'D' and got an 'A' in the exam."
Secondary school transition preparation
Most grammar and high schools assess pupils on entry in Year 7. In response to requests by parents, we now offer teaching and support from June to September for students leaving primary school. This ensures that their skills are kept sharp, enabling them to achieve their best when they are assessed as they begin Year 7. Tuition is mainly for Maths, but can include help with Literacy, Science and general study skills.
"Hooton Tutors have helped both of my children with the extra support required to do well at school. My son has continued to make excellent progress under their guidance."
English as a Second Language
We provide support to adults who wish to improve their English language skills in the workplace and in social settings.
